Virtual Production

Virtual Production

On-set tools to visualise the final frame as you shoot.

In 2010, Nvizage worked with Rob Legato on Martin Scorsese's Hugo, to develop some of the precursors to today's virtual production tools.

Since then we have worked on multiple projects that have required virtual production, including Outlander, Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald, Aladdin and Solo: A Star Wars Story. Currently we are working on the Robert Zemeckis remake of Roald Dahl's The Witches.

In pre-production, our virtual camera system gives you the flexibility and power to create and shoot your previs exactly the way you want, using familiar tools, and the power of a real-time engine.

On set, using simulcam tracking solutions we can seamlessly fit into any shooting crew, giving you a live view of CG assets and characters integrated into your real-world elements. This allows directors, cinematographers, VFX Supervisors and other crew members gain a clear picture of how the final shot will come together.

Following through into post production, we can provide VFX rushes to Editorial, and first pass camera and tracking data to VFX, enabling informed decisions to be made sooner in the post production process.
