Presented by Eolan Power: AR Director - Fortnite World Cup Tournament and Georg Engebakken: AR Technical Director - Fortnite World Cup Tournament, their talk will cover a brief history of previs and how traditional workflows are gradually moving towards real-time engines, such as Unreal Engine, illustrated with examples from Fortnite’s World Cup Tournament.
NVIZ have long been using real-time tools to offer filmmakers the speed to make decisions for themselves, without the long previs schedules that can be a cause of frustration. With real-time tools, the only limitation on set and at live events is the creator’s imagination. It’s nearly a decade since NVIZ worked with Rob Legato to develop the precursors to today’s virtual production tools. Since then Nviz have used and developed VP tools on multiple films including Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald, Aladdin, Solo: A Star Wars Story and most recently, The Witches.
